Solo Guitar

Just me, playing nylon-string guitar.

 

The first 5 tracks are from 2001, when I was "demoing" a few guitars, trying to decide which one to buy. So I recorded snippets of songs for evaluating the tone of each instrument (in the Maple Room studio).

The next 4 tracks are from 1985, recorded in my little home studio. This was around the time that I was doing "cocktail guitar" gigs and had developed arrangements of many old and new pop standards.

 

The last track is from 1982 when I was experimenting with playing my fingerstyle arrangements on the electric guitar.

In the early 1980's, I played many solo-guitar gigs at restaurants and such, but I never recorded very much — which I regret, because a lot of work went into the arrangements and over time they've mostly been forgotten.
